New RiboFlow® - Cosmetics for specified microorganisms

06.02.2015 , created by Manfred Schinkinger

For the detection of not expected microbes according to ISO 17516

The new RiboFlow®-Cosmetics enables simple and simultaneous testing for absence of specified microbes according to ISO 17516, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans.

The biomolecular test detects the ribosomal RNA of the target organisms, and is thus highly specific.
It can be performed both from enrichment cultures, as well as single colonies from agar plates.
The results are available within 25 minutes making a very rapid product release possible.

This technology can be most efficiently applied in combination with screening methods for the determination of total counts as impedance, flow cytometry and ATP testing whenever 1 g of product for the initial enrichment is used.
The RiboFlow® tests are performed directly from those enrichment cultures used for the respective screening technology from reactive samples only.

The RiboFlow® tests can be carried out without expensive equipment and require no special knowledge for interpretation.
