New BacTrac Method for the detection of Yeasts and Moulds

05.02.2015 , created by Manfred Schinkinger

New method using standard impedance detection available !

As a result of our ongoing development of culture media by taking advantage of the unique impedance splitting technology a new culture medium for the detection of yeasts and molds has been made available.

The new BiMedia 510A –vial enables yeast and mold detection using the standard impedance method (direct method). The test procedure is thereby significantly simplified and just as simple to perform as the detection of bacteria.

Prerequisite for the use of the new method is a software update because a newly developed assessment type is used for the evaluation of measurement signals.
The software update is available for free for existing users. The combination of BiMedia 510A and the newly available evaluation type allow results within 48 hours.
